Went to see The Generational: Younger Than Jesus at the New Museum, one of the greatest buildings in NYC : all metal meshed. This exhibition presents the work of 50 artists born after 1976, selected from 25 countries and wants to examine the visual culture this generation has created to date. It’s the first show of its kind in the United States and it takes place in NYC. I don’t have so much to say about it as today’s art gazes at its own belly button and is about concepts. Most of the people I know feel the same and have a hard time relating to it. However I was intrigued and seduced by the paintings of Jakub Julian Ziolkowski. That’s an extraordinary feeling.
