The Story of CBGB

If anything, this documentary is about New York. At the end of the day, as exceptionnal this city can be, money get the first seats. Even though, the CBGB – Country, Blue Grass and Blues- was a cultural landmark, where each musician could become who he was thanks to the amazing Hilly Kristal, his founder, no one with big power as the City Hall did what it took to keep the club alive. CBGB is today a booth at the Rock’n roll Hall of fame… So sad…
Saw at the Tribeca Film festival.
