Following on RB’s luck with beefsteak tomatoes, my own Norwich farm CSA goodies have been ripening, juicy, flavorful and bursting. More and more New Yorkers are joining CSAs in order to support local farms and receive a “share” of whatever the earth brings forth. At times the offerings have been skimpy this season because of bad weather. Often they are far from the “perfect” shapes you find in stores, or even at the greenmarket. Sometimes they arrive smashed and filled with bugs! So, on the cusp of labor day and summer drawing to a close, I found this fast and tasty gazpacho recipe to use up my tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. Yum! SN.
